Pictures of the Day: June 7th – Stunning Monochrome and Awesome Skylines

Today’s Pictures of the Day offer two stunning images of very different things.

First of all, I loved Inara Pey’s black and white study of the turtle’s head from the A’stra stage.

This has been a very popular location for phiotographs – and deservedly so. But Inara’s image, with a little post production, has a mythic, timeless quality. It makes me think if a Durer etching – although I’m not quite sure why!

You can read more about this on her blog here.

Secondly, Whiskey Monday has provided a glorious vista over some of the towers that are rising up around the SL10B Community Celebration regions. It looks like an impossible city – the buildings could be recognisable but was ever city so bright, so colourful, so fanciful?
